Busy day today being mobile and repairing and servicing a Singer 66k Treadle and a Brother PS-33 machine in north Norfolk!

Brother PS-33

First up was a seized Brother PS-33 machine. This machine required a complete strip down and a jolly good cleanup! The shuttle hook was seized and slightly rusty which was preventing the machine from working. All rust was removed by sanding down until it ran smoothly. As normal in my sewing machine servicing all parts where checked and adjusted where necessary and finishing up with a clean up on the outside.

The next machine was a wonderful Singer 66K treadle which was made in 1925. This machine had probably not been used for about 25 years or so and has been in the family for years. Due to this it was consequently quite stiff and needed a bit of help in getting going! It also benefitted with a new leather belt and bobbin tyre. It took quite a while to clean her up but she was sewing and looking beautiful at the end!
